Mobility canes help people who are blind or have low vision navigate independently by detecting obstacles in their path. They are intended for people who have had training that enables them to use the cane for safe and independent travel.
The optimal tip for a mobility cane will depend on the following factors: the environment in which it will be used i.e. the terrain, the cane technique being used, and personal preference for the type and amount of feedback provided. All Ambutech cane tips have been designed to work with the two predominate mobility techniques - two-point touch and constant contact.
This slip-on roller marshmallow tip is cylindrical, with a built-in protected bearing that rolls from side to side. It fits securely over the shaft of Aluminium, Graphite and Fiberglass canes.
