Note: Do not select "Connect to Smart Cane 1" – this option is only for the older WeWalk Smart Cane 1.

Connecting the WeWalk app

• Turn on the cane by long pressing the square button.
• Open the WeWalk app and navigate to the device list.
• Under "My Devices", the cane will appear as a long serial number, not as “Smart Cane 1.”
• Tap the serial number – the cane will make a sound to confirm successful connection.
• Complete the steps and update the cane firmware to access all the latest features.

Power and Charging

• Long press the square button to turn the cane on or off.
• The smart cane currently does not give an audible alert when powering off, but an update is being developed to address this and the battery drain issue. Please ensure your WeWalk 2 device is fully charged before venturing out.

A note about OCR and Speech

The app does support speech output for navigation steps and train station names, but it reads these aloud only when navigation has begun, not during initial selection. Future updates may address this feature.
