Mobility canes help people who are blind or have low vision navigate independently by detecting obstacles in their path. They are intended for people who have had training that enables them to use the cane for safe and independent travel.
The optimal tip for a mobility cane will depend on the following factors: the environment in which it will be used i.e. the terrain, the cane technique being used, and personal preference for the type and amount of feedback provided. All Ambutech cane tips have been designed to work with the two predominate mobility techniques - two-point touch and constant contact.
This high-mileage slip-on tip is one of the largest available cane tips and is ball-shaped, with a unique built-in roller shield that protects the bearing that rolls from side to side.
